LFK Scavenger Hunt and Diebenkorn's figure drawing



We love this scavenger hunt posted at the Lawrence Public Library website.  The scavenger hunt includes a map with stars of iconic Lawrence sites, and pics underneath to match.  Although the scavenger hunt is meant for teens, we imagine any scenester would like to play this summer walking game.

Diebenkorn's Figure Drawing
We were looking at Richard Diebenkorn's drawings and were curious about their compositions. Although they seem like they are simple drawings, in reality, they are very complex.  Often, heads, feet, or arms are often cut off, and the frames are sometimes square.  The lights and darks are balanced well.  Take a look:
